Corrective Action Training: Annual (Periodic) Inspections
This Corrective Action Training module provides drivers with remedial training related to annual (periodic) inspections. Specifically, this course is designed to remind drivers to ensure their vehicle is current with an annual inspection, provide proof of inspection, and not to drive a vehicle that hasn’t had its annual inspection.
After completing this course, drivers will be able to:
- Recognize the reasons annual inspections are critical.
- List the two options for showing proof your vehicle(s) had an annual inspection within the last 12 months.
- Explain what to do if your vehicle isn’t up to date with an annual inspection.
- Introduction
- Annual inspections are required.
- Show proof of an up-to-date inspection.
- Have a decal or sticker on your vehicle.
- Carry the full inspection report.
- Can’t show proof? It’s a violation.
- Don’t drive until your vehicle has had an annual inspection.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
