Corrective Action Training: Emergency Equipment

This Corrective Action Training module provides drivers with remedial training related to emergency equipment. Specifically, this course is designed to remind drivers to carry proper emergency equipment, perform a daily fire extinguisher inspection, and verify the proper number of reflective triangles or flares.

After completing this course, drivers will be able to:

• List the emergency equipment required in every commercial motor vehicle.
• Describe what to look for during your daily fire extinguisher inspection.
• Identify the required number of reflective triangles or flares.

• Introduction
• CMV’s must have 3 types of emergency equipment.
• have emergency equipment in place and ready to use.
• Make sure your fire extinguisher is accessible and ready.
• Have warning devices ready.
• Make sure spare fuses are available.

Approximately 5 minutes

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
