Corrective Action Training: Traffic Lanes

This Corrective Action Training module provides drivers with remedial training related to traffic lanes. Specifically, this course is designed to remind drivers stay alert, stay within the lines, and make safe lane changes.

After completing this course, drivers will be able to:

• Recognize the causes of lane-drift citations.
• Discuss the purpose of lane-drift rules.
• Describe ways to comply with lane restrictions.

• Introduction
• Traffic laws require you to stay in your lane.
• Drifting is dangerous and prohibited.
• Lane-drifting rules exist to protect lives and property.
• Do not cross the fog line.
• Lane restrictions improve safety and keep traffic flowing.
• Lane-restriction signs may change based on location and time of day.
• Stay out of the left-hand lane except to pass, turn or respond to an emergency.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing.
