Description

This course provides an overview of fall protection procedures, and ensures that those working at heights can work safely and minimize the risks they face. This course meets the requirements for Fall Protection in Canada with the exception of Newfoundland. It is intended to provide awareness training and is not suitable for hands-on or highly advanced training where appropriate (i.e. high angle rescue). TOPICS COVERED: Fall protection and when it’s required on the job, Legislated requirements and responsibilities, Identifying fall hazards using hazard assessments, Implementing appropriate control methods, Preparing Fall Protection Plans, Selecting appropriate fall protection equipment, Responding to incidents and determining ways to prevent them. To successfully complete this course, you’ll have to achieve 80% on the final assessment. The certificate is valid for three years.
