Safe and Smart New Driver Training Program: Backing and Parking

This course is designed to help inexperienced CDL Class A drivers with the proper procedures for backing, parking, and docking.

?Successfully backing a vehicle requires skill, practice, patience, and good judgment. Improper or inattentive backing can result in lost time, additional paperwork, and damage to vehicles, buildings, or other equipment. Backing and parking can be some of the most difficult maneuvers a driver performs.

After completing this course, learners will be able to:

• Explain additional precautions to take when backing in loading docks and parking lots

Approximately 20 minutes

A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Users are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available to download and print.
