Wire Rope Rigging Inspection & Replacement

This micro-learning module covers the basics of wire rope inspections and how to know when a wire rope needs replacing. Great for refreshers or toolbox talks/tailgate meetings!

• Construction stretch and diameter reduction
• How to measure a wire rope’s length and diameter
• Scheduled inspections (daily, monthly, and quarterly/periodic)
• Removal criteria, including broken wires, wear, kinks, and stretch

Approximately 10 minutes

A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark.
