Corrective Action Training: Tires
This Corrective Action Training module provides drivers with remedial training related to tires. Specifically, this course is designed to remind drivers to properly inspect, repair and care for their tires.
After completing this course, drivers will be able to:
- Discuss the two most common reasons for tire failure.
- Explain when tire inspections are required.
- Describe how to inspect and maintain your tires.
- Identify if a tire has the proper tread depth.
- Introduction
- Check tire inflation and tread depth during daily inspections.
- Use a gauge to measure tread accurately.
- Tire must meet regulation before driving.
- Document any problems so they can be repaired before driving.
- Low inflation can cause excess heat and lead to tire failure.
- Watch for serious problems like leaks or tread separation.

Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course twice if the pass mark is not achieved.
