It is easy to forget the danger that heat poses to the body, from sunburn and dehydration to heat stroke and death. Whether you work outside on hot days or in a foundry, mine, bakery, or any other hot or humid environment, the key to preventing excessive heat stress is knowing the hazards of working in heat and the benefits of implementing proper controls and work practices. You will learn about all of these in this training. Ideal learners include all employees, managers and supervisors.

- Describe the benefits and basic elements of a written heat illness program
Approximately 30 minutes
Testing conducted throughout this online course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to pass this course. The course is able to be taken three times in efforts to achieve the pass mark. Printable resources are available in the form of a comprehensive student manual. The manual is a valuable resource for future use and knowledge retention.
