Participating in incident investigations is an important role of the occupational health committee and the health and safety representative. This $10 course will cover:

  • UnderstandingĀ the OHS requirements for investigating workplace incidents and dangerous occurrences
  • Collecting evidence
  • Analyzing evidence
  • Developing a report
  • Making improvements

The course take two to four hours to complete.

This course is for anyone who may be called upon to do an incident investigation, including managers, supervisors, safety personnel, occupational health committees and occupational health and safety representatives.

Completing this training AND the Workplace Inspection training course is considered ā€œtraining by an approved agencyā€ for the purposes of section 46(4) of The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996. Completing both of these courses is equivalent to completing the 2-day Occupational Health Committee LevelĀ 2 training offered by WorkSafe.
